About

Tortuga Island

This is a day at a gorgeous white sand beach and turquoise warm waters. A day seeing the Pacific Ocean as you’ve never seen it before! With an early start, the Tortuga Island tour will begin by driving to the port of Puntarenas, a small city that lies in a sand point and that was, for many years the most important port of Costa Rica on this side of the map. After a healthy breakfast and boarding the catamaran you will travel through the isles and islands of the Nicoya Gulf.

Depending on the season you may be able to see dolphins, humpback whales, and hundreds of aquatic birds perched on the forests of the deserted and inhabited islands.

As you arrive at the island, activities will start. You will be able to delight in the snorkeling while seeing hundreds of small fish encircling you. Or you may want to join the fun and go aboard the banana boat.

Or simply, rent one of the affordable lounge chairs on the beach and sunbath while reading a good book.

Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch made on the island, and taste the great cocktails that are served on the bar.

This is an ideal tour for those who want to enjoy a gorgeous tropical beach, those on business or water and beach lovers.

Note: The island is a preserve and there are no facilities. Everything is taken in on the catamaran, so, please if you have any dietary limitations, let us know at reservation moment.
